now a days we can see some brahmins ( by birth ) doing toddy tapping in that case this person who do this job for his living, .. is he an ezhava or a brahmin ? rakshass and kattalas are still here with us, all around us, but in new disguises,, the costumes changes from time to time..( even the earth we lives is always changing ) they were there all these years, now a days we are not able to differentiate between rakshasa and devas. that is our fault... if you read Hindu Puranas you will come face to face with some people whom can be described as raakshas and kattalas.. and their work pattern is also describe.. if you are asking about new age kattalas... there are many. in old days even kattalas had some culture in them.. some eg of new age rakshasas : keralas chief minister ?
